In the beginning there was pizza!

My favorite food in the whole wide world is pizza. My favorite saying was there is no such thing as a bad pizza. That ALL came to a screaming halt when I found out that I had to go gluten free, I had finally found a bad pizza, it was GF (and Vegan). Ewwwww......
Before I go on and on about pizza, I wanted to share my  EXTREMELY short, uncomical version of how I found out I have Celiac. May 2010 - I was taken to the ER by my husband, Chris. I felt like an elephant had sat on my chest. Later to find out, it was a gallbladder attack. I had that diseases gallbladder removed several months later.  One key thing through all these tests and  procedures was my iron was low and it wouldn't go up. The problem after having my gallbladder out is, I didn't feel well. It's hard to explain. I was tired and body parts ached and headaches. I honestly don't know how I made it through most days.  I kept going to the doctor and he said, he didn't know what was wrong with me. Well, screw that, I found me a new doctor. The new doctor did more tests and I was still not feeling well. Over the summer of 2011 a co-worker said to me, maybe you have a food allergy. I laughed. HA! I'm 35 years old. That's not possible. I brought it up to my doctor, he said it is possible and I went to the Gastro doc. He ran all the right tests  and that's how I found out I have Celiac. I have the DQ2 gene, which is a Celiac gene. My other co-workers  like to say they have the DQ gene too (AKA Dairy Queen). We enjoy going to Dairy Queen for lunch and eating blizzards (who doesn't?). It took a year and half of tests and more tests to find out that I have Celiac. I'm a lucky one, I read about people not feeling well for years and years. I couldn't imagine.
I can't have gluten. Really? Are you sure? No more pizza? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?NO MORE PIZZA. WAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Devastation. Absolute devastation. Let the becoming gluten free ADVENTURES begin....
